On the alaskan facebook chicken page...someone actually posted about what he should do.... he went to check on his chickens, and "they were not moving, so he brought them into his garage and put a heat lamp on them, after several hours they still hadn't moved, their legs were stiff, and they smelled bad"

He wanted to know what was wrong...why they weren't moving.


I was pleased to see the very kind answers.


This is an adult.

They had a live cam on a bald eagle nest I think it was in Florida DW was following, you should have seen the dumb uneducated posts on it when one of the three eggs didn't hatch, WOW! Days later,
"OMG! your just going to let it die! It was laid days later, give it a chance!, someone should check and see if it is still fertile! Can't you put it in a incubator and hatch it! You all are cruel! you let the eagle kick it out of the nest and kill it OMG!! "

no, I'd love to move to Alaska or BC, but no
Being we have so many I hear, 'when you going to have another'
I'd love to have another boy, many of them, but I can't raise all of them myself,

DW would definitely be in a mental institution if we had another and I can't handle them myself! Lol!

DW wants to move south.....I'd rather move to Alaska, 'why it's cold there', pan for gold and hunt and fish every day YEAH!
This yr, and last has been decent winters, but usually are in 'el nino' yrs. Few in a row prior, subzero and 20-30 below windchill for months each winter, I was surprised all my birds didn't just become ice blocks, it was warmer in Alaska those yrs.

Our oldest wanted to have Christmas at our house this yr, NO, thought our place was bigger and better than the inlaws, NO, she insisted and fought for it, NO!!! 'But this way gramma doesn't have to work so hard', so go up there and help her. I wanted to be able to leave that noise.

You should see some of the spazzy people on the ferret page I follow... people practice ferreting, hunting with ferrets because ferrets are carnivores and amazing hunters. So this guy in the UK had a huge truckload of pheasants his ferrets had caught and tons of people were appalled and upset... whatever Facebook. Ferrets eat meat, birds are meat, calm down y'all

The only direction I would move is North it's less peoplely
