Ok, just drinking a bit it seems to be gaining strength. It just peeped which it hadn't done since we brought it in. I snatched a pic.



With and without flash. We put a plush toy in with it to keep it company.

hate the messed up chicks. If it eats and drinks fine, it should heal up perfectly.

Yup, fingers crossed. So, anyone else seeing a lot of red in that comb? 4½ weeks old...

Oh, and by the way, if you need to improvise a heat source for a chick, I've got a plant heat mat under the brooder, and a halogen bulb with a metal ikea bowl upside down on top of it acting as a heat lamp. Seems to be doing the job.

Sam it's the least red one of the bunch. I'm pretty sure this is a dude too.
