Yeah, after doing it for 30 years and lot's of problem paper, now I only do it for special folks, family and friends. When I hear someone say they're thinking of painting over wallpaper I let them know the results wont be what they think. Every seam will show and many times it will curl at the edges. And then if you want to take it off, well pay now or really pay later. LOL! But drywalling over it, well I never heard that being cheap!Wow , I haven't come across that yet , but have seen painted wall paper in a few places and I can't imagine what it would take to remove that ,, heard one person who just dry walled over hers , said it was cheaper in the long run then the labour to remove and repair the walls ? I've only had to remove regular paper so far .....doubt I'd attempt to do anything painted though after what you've said .......good info
