Yeah, no more bantams for me. I only have one left, Midnight, and she gets messed with pretty much all the time.

Deb, yeah, I'm starting to see that. Why the security check, something wake you? Don't worry, I'm sure there's not a monster under the bed.

I just call it that because I get up check the kitchen check the doors and check my mail. I dont do it every night.... but its better than laying there trying to go back to sleep.

When I live at home I am out in the middle of no where and I can hear a foot step in the gravel outside ... I wake up to find border patrol doing a well being check on my property. Its a flashlight movement I see through shut eyes. Its comforting to know they are there. I go right back to sleep. But here in the city I am more vigilant. I hate it.

I used to have my bantams and standards mixed....

gotta say, it is much more relaxing now that I have them in their separate coops.

I don't have the room to separate yet, sadly or I would have put those two together but after we culled Dammit Janet, I thought the problem had resolved itself. I even saw them roosting closer to the group. I guess I misjudged. Dang, and I was going to get some silkies this spring.
