amazing that you burn that stuff.... up here I get to burn spruce, spruce, spruce, and if I pay out the nose Birch and Alder.
we burn oak of any kind, ash, poplar, cherry, locust, hickory, etc. Yeah the good logs we sell but the ones that won't get top dollar heat our house.

unless of course, you mean a "stream of electricity" or a "stream of consciousness"
 
and a bayou is always a bayou... there is no other word that fits....

a wide, super dark water, at least a foot deep, super slow moving body of water, usually filled with cotton mouths and turtles = bayou
 
I'm from delaware ohio which is central to the state. I am a yankee! Others around me call everything that isn't a river a crick. Drives me insane they won't properly pronounce things.
