I wanna sit and read.... BUT, I have to run and do a dump run.

I have started up my chick and eggs business.... or rather I posted on Facebook to see who might want them.

A bit stressful... everyone lives a jillion hours north of me... a few want me to ship them chicks. I dunno how to ship chicks!!!!

I am super glad that I don't live up close to the metropolis... but of course that is where a bunch of my potential customers live... dunno, dunno, dunno

Other people take the 6 hour drive to Anchorage all the time... me? Almost never.

dunno, dunno, dunno.....

I had to post photos of my stuff.... I REALLY wish my Marans had better everything, because I wanna try to sell them for $10 a chick... we will see if there are any takers now that I posted pictures.

I told them $4 a chick from my currently non segregated hens (50% chance of some being pure), and my one olive egger was $6 a chick. Also $3 a quail chick. (actual quail, not a chicken in a quail color)

But I want pre-orders, because I can NOT raise chicks right now!!!

ok question for you: What should my coop humidity level be for a snowy/ rainy day??? I'm at 75% and I could smell ammonia in there. No smell on dry days. I'm still figuring out humidity thing like when to open more vents.

If in doubt open up everything first thing in the morning, if it is below -10F and goning to drop further at night, close it mostly up(never completely close up a coop) at noonish, or whenever you get home.
