Dixie Chicks

ok so dixie had me laughing earlier.. when I was feather sexing everyone.. I was handling them and was petting them before lifting them from brooder they all come run over now..anyways.. I was petting eggna poe and all of a sudden dixie leaps up like a lil marhsmellow puffball and hands in my hand and sprawls across my hand with abandon..was the funnest thing scared the bejebbers outta me at first but was funny lol

That sounds cute! And a bit of a heart check, lol. I have an OEGB that does that any time she sees my hand with 2ft of her. Love that!

Ravynfallen the panel is a great idea... And I got to hear about it before I built my new coop. perfect

Glad to help! Just make sure there is plenty of overlap between it and whatever else you use on the roof. It has a slightly different ridge pattern than the solid pieces I got, so overlap was key.

You are very right there! Cost evens out saving in time and labor. Plus if it is angled toward the setting sun (or rising) it increases it even more. But being on the roof seems to let in more light than windows, in IMO.
ya the angle of the roof is very import for it.. I was going to do it but the way I had to angle my roof it wouldnt have gotten any extra out of it..... I have my coop and roof positioned so the wind doesnt use it like a big ole kite and try to send it sailing..we get some nasty lil winds here at times

@Sharps Big 50
 is a geniues with his hands he can build everything.. I so admire that about him I think it's such an admirable handy  skill to have I mean for anyone not just him lol

It is very handy. I admire my Jim's car fixing abilities, lol. He can fix anything on a car, and gets parts for cost not retail. He is my lifesaver, lol, cuz I am hopeless with a car!

I hear ya on the winds, ours aren't quite as bad as yours, but we are exposed on this hill. That's why I am gonna go with skinny metal post sunk about 18" in the ground and bolted to the legs. Or you can just pound the legs into the ground, if the coop has them. :)
