No headache here

DH had to work, so I was up at normal people's waking hours cooking breakfast & watering the poor roosters that are in a covered chicken tractor. Poor things. So dang cold out there. Was 0F this morning. Suppose to have a heat wave of 25F today

Good thing, gotta do more work on the coop. We got 2 new rabbits last night

They are related to the other 2 we have out there, but we traded 4 dozen eggs for 2 rabbits. Can't beat that. If they are bucks, they go in the freezer as soon as it's warm enough to butcher. So my project today is to start on the new rabbit hutch and find scrap materials that are not frozen solid to the ground. Should be fun.

Does anyone use heated waterers? I was wondering if you use them in the summer as well, just unplug them? And is the plug removable, or would it just drag on the ground? Thanks! Have a good day!

I'll probably continue to use the heated waterer throughout the summer just not plugged in. The design of it is a bit silly but it's the biggest waterer I have...

BTW: when it's -28C the darn thing still freezes...

I think you'd need quite a lot of power to keep it from freezing in that temp. Or then you could insulate it better.

I was going to do that... Hubby should have some kind of insulating material in the shed. I am waiting for a warmer day, supposed to be warmer starting next week. -20C is supposed to be our highs..

Yeah, I got a headache this morning.....not from imbibing but trying to get the lousy game the Hawks played out of it!

Antti Raanta and Teuvo Terraveainen both played. They were the only "fresh" players on the team.....everyone else looked like they had played a game the night before and didn't get much rest......oh, that's right, that is what happened! Into Edmonton at 3:30 a.m. after winning a game the night before with the Wild. Good thing they don't play today...........back home tomorrow to play the Wild again.

High today suppose to be 20F!

I got some horizontal nipples ordered that I will be making a heated waterer with. I have a fish tank heater and a bird bath heater. Which would work better?

wow that's cold! Around what our wind chill usually is, we've been hanging around -12C had one night it was -31C wind chill. Hard to believe it was in the 10C just a couple weeks ago.
