I think you could be right @NotAFarm from that picture the male barring look like it has a bit of a V pattern while the girls is more of a line barring is that the differnce they mean? spotted was just a bad choice of words... but I think I just havent seen show type barred

I looked really close....

The male has a wider white part, and the black part is thinner and not as dark black.

The V pattern is really only seen in some neck feathers, or other odd places.....

Did that explain?
