It's some sort of gamebird mix, has all kinds of treats in it. Nuts, sunflower seed, corn, anise, and all kinds of other goodies. We add a bit of it to our feed, and also feed it as a treat.

my feed store has me at a loss I feel bad most of what they have is int he back so Ithey have to bring it forward just so I can eyeball the label

We stumbled upon this mix when we were just going to get some grains. The seller said his neighbor's pheasants and chickens go crazy for the stuff, so we thought we'd give it a try. So far we've only been mixing it in just before serving, but I think I'll add some of it to the pre mix when I make it the next time, so that it will have time to give off some of the taste to the rest of the feed.

Another busted water pipe in the middle of the night! Yikes. We think it's same one as last year. So, water is shut off and I have dug out all the prepped stuff for this special occasion. 5 gallon bucket full of water to flush the toilet, mason jar filled with water for teeth brushing, 2 liter bottles filled with water for hand washing, coffee making, cooking. Hand sanitzer, and dry shampoo. Last year, it was out a week

. But our electric was out as well. Our yard is FLOODED. I happened to hear it when I was taking clothes out of the dryer. Spewing out from under the house

I think I got an hour of sleep. Not uninterrupted though. Going to be a long day at work. Well, I gotta get some coffee cooking or I won't make it thru the day, Have a good one

On a good note I started collecting duck eggs from my ancona pens today, no guarantee they're pure but Josh wants ducks to raise for meat so these will be ok if they're mixed.

Just checked on the sprouts, I put them in soaking about 24 hours ago, after about 10-12 hours I dumped them on the platter. First sprouts are starting already, on both the peas and the grains. I also soaked half of a green cube (grass and molasses, dried and pressed) last night and put it in a plastic bag with some holes poked in the side. Looks like someone's been for a taste, I'm hoping it will make the yolks nice and yellow.

Sounds like you have found a system that works for you.....your flock will love you even more now!

this was the beginning of the clean up where my greenhouse n raised beds are now...all the ivy I yanked and removed and uncovered the driveway that had been buried for gawd knows how long
