Dixie Chicks

I'm lazy, I fell asleep alongside the fiance on the counch. The dog joined me instead of him sometime in my hour long nap. I need to go feed everyone here soon. My broody hens chicks are adjusting to not having their mama anymore. They're mildly psycho chicks too. Zooming all over the place and screaming loudly.

I could get in that dress, but why? It's not exactly my style. I'm not sure I've worn a dress in 4+ years. Actually it's been longer.

Sally, my happy BEAUTIFUL incubator is out of her box, and all set up and humming.

(thank you, thank you @RavynFallen

Unfortunately the kids have run off with BOTH of my super bright candling flashlights AND my thermometer/hygrometer. -sigh-

The kids are over at the in-laws... I suppose I will pin them down when they get back.... see if they can find my stuff.....

Today I added the chicken eggs to my Brinsea... hummmm, maybe I should call her Briny
lau.gif
, and it was a tight fit...... Briny already had a bunch of quail eggs, and I think that WAY MORE of them are infertile than I had planned on.... last time I checked every single quail egg that I cracked when making an omlet, about 70% were fertile... so I just tossed into the incubator double the number of eggs for the number of baby quail that I needed.....

Anyway... with the horrid flashlights... it almost looked like most (maybe all

) were clears.... dunno what is up with that.... Briny just hatched out 20 chicks 2 weeks back, so I don't think it is her fault.

I am hoping that I was imagining things, and that the problem is flashlight error.

Sally is HUGE!!!!

Yay!!! Glad you are happy with Sally, @Alaskan!! Hope she does as well for you as she did for me... :D
(This all sounds almost dirty, lol) ;)

She hatched our very first own set of chicks and my 1st Araucana pullet...
No residual smell from the stinker egg, I hope? Tried to makes sure she was cleaned out well...
Btw, I found that after installing the fan that the lid sometimes vibrated a bit, so might want to set a fist-sized rock on the lid if it's rattling.

I seriously kept looking at it and having 'my mind is boggled' moments.

Sally is SO CLEAN! I couldn't smell anything at all, and she is so close to pristine, looks like she is straight from the factory that it is hard to imagine she has ever been used!

:D I soaked and scrubbed her after each and every hatch... She's been running almost non-stop since Sept... hatched at least a dozen, but prolly close to 20 batches including staggers, lol... So happy you like her... :)
