I have no ducks too messy for meDucks, they are horrible housekeepers, aren't they? Splash their water everywhere. I don't have any experience myself, but that's what I've read.
ducks are horrid housekeepers but it's all about management. Biggest issue is water. After a couple days of age I hang their waterer up where they can get their head into it but not their body. helps to keep the mess down to a minimumDucks, they are horrible housekeepers, aren't they? I almost did thatOh, sorry Jem, thought it was your pic, but it wasn't. No, I haven't slipped them under, we let the broodies take care of the eggs all the way. Much less fuss than with an incubator. The eggs under Emma right now should be on day 8 I think.
I did like Wishers idea of incubating the eggs inside, then taking them under a broody a day before they should hatch. Seems like a good idea.
