Dixie Chicks

Greetings from north of the Arctic Circle!

Drove 1000 km (600 miles) today. It's about -14 C and the most beautiful starry night out there, and no light pollution. Tomorrow it's skiing time. Great weather predicted all week.

skiing?

spring... tulips and daffodils and crocus oh my!

I hatched out some qua il in maryland our roommate/caretaker there in maryland keeps quail ..yep they poop out the eggs any old place they are at.....

infact she doesnt even eat chicken eggs anymore she just eats the quail eggs

@BriardChickens I think your best bet is the shed. Once you get some you're going to get into hatching them. Being they mature so fast your going to have even more eggs right off the bat and thus need more room. And being they are so small your going to want lots of them...

@Amberjem are those chicks at the feeder?? OMG when did they hatch!?

@vehve skiing is awesome, we just drove the Canadian Rockies.. all the skiing resorts are without snow already... usually they could stay open until way past easter, they only close because no one wants to ski that late anymore. Well this year they had to close much earlier then they wanted to. Sad... big loss.

@Beer can hubby is gonna kill me one of these days.. Maybe a pretty please will suffice.

and btw @BriardChickens so glad to see you back have missed you did you guys have a awesome time?!?!?!?!?

Yes we did!! We drove out to Victoria to drop off the dog with the sitter and see family, then we flew out from there. DH had to do the entire drive back (~1600km, 18hrs of driving) because I would have turned our truck around the first chance I got. I miss British Columbia... especially Vancouver Island.
