She isn't a big fan of being picked up, so I was mainly concentrating on holding her, but Karin thinks she could feel something. They should be about 22 days now, so still pretty small, but not that small. We shall see.
About her nesting method, I honestly in good conscience couldn't keep bunnies in those small cages people usually use. And wire bottoms are illegal here. Legally, she would have to have a cage that is at least 2 feet by 5 feet, and 2 feet high, or you could keep two in that same space too, but it sounds awfully small to me. The setup at the moment is 10½ by 4½ feet, and the upper level is 10½ by 3½ feet. The top is between 2 and 3 feet tall, and the bottom is about 3½ feet tall. And it has a bit over a foot of digging space underneath it. I don't have a trouble with splitting it up in a couple of sections though, once we need to separate the younglings. The nest tunnel is a cool surprise though.
