since I don't own a sewing machine (has been mentioned to DH) a baby bid might be a good idea

although that purchase could give some people the wrong idea...

anyone have a pattern for a chicken saddle?

My poor EE seems to be getting a lot of rooster attention these days, most of her back feathers are broken.  Oddly, I only see the roosters do the deed with the other breeds.

I would start with 2 potholders sewn together. Then sew on some elastic straps.

lucky me, I am also being offered to get Cayuga ducks! I've got a choice between an adult pair or hatchlings in a few weeks.

I'll have all these rare breeds! Chanteclers, Ancona and Cayuga

Hi guys! The course was a huge hit. We had 83 attendees, and everyone seemed to like it. The guy who was supposed to be demonstrating hemp thought it was tomorrow, so he never showed... I asked if he wanted me to sell his pallet of hemp bedding that he had shipped there in advance, and he said yeah, so I've been a hemp dealer today. Sold about 3 cubic yards of hemp bales.

BC, for a quick and easy saddle, try one of those tight beanie caps, cut a hole for the head and wings, and you've got yourself an easy, no sowing required chicken saddle.

Neat idea! I'll look around my house what I can find. Need some elastics.
