I forgot to snap a pic of the cream legbar and the blue brahma ...the blue is hard to spot the leg feathering is so sparse I mix it up with the blue wyandotte

Yeah, me too... it would be pretty lame if all of the eggs that I tossed (clears and a few blood rings) were the ones I ordered (rose comb dark brown Leghorns and rose comb white leghorns). He promised that his were HOMOzygous for rose comb.....

I know he has buff leghorns and black leghorns, and I am not sure what else... so, since he added in "surprise leghorn" eggs, I was kinda hoping for cool stuff

First time for me, on ordered eggs, that they are NOT labeled. Totally odd.... so I have no idea what I have until they hatch... I did get more than what I paid for, number of eggs wise, into lockdown.

I LOVE white eggs, since I can EASILY see if I have a viable chick.

There is one with a pip, on a slightly off white egg... so I am hoping that means it is a project color and I will get something cool and rare like an Exchequer or a Millie Fleur.

As to the quail... three are out and healthy... one is pipped, not yet ready to hatch, but looks very good... so, glory to God, that will give me the 4 that I promised... 3 other quail eggs made it to lockdown. But with those I can only tell "clear or full", so not sure if the last 3 have viable chicks or not.

I am just getting SUPER tired of having to tell everyone that they are getting less than they asked for. I NEED to get better at putting in the correct number of eggs, etc. (I keep putting in more than they ask for, but then the fertility is worse than I guessed it would be, or whatever stupidity)

finally got a side view of nugget ...sooo cockerel or pullet? hatched 1/1/15

I was going to guess pullet too.... but there are some drooping rooster type feathers, maybe maybe, by the tail.

I'm impatiently waiting for my rosecomb brown leg horns split to Isabel to hatch along with the 3 pure Isabel eggs...

@AmberjemI'd bet your chick with the blue body and red wings with lacing is a cockerel, especially if that starts to darken.

I'm hoping the ones you wanted weren't all the ones you tossed out! The Isabel leg horn eggs are peeping but no pips yet!
the brown rosecomb splits are all pipped! Only 1 didn't make it and it died while trying to get into the air cell. Shipped eggs, figured there'd be losses. I really want those isabel! I made safe holes I'm the air cells cause I'm paranoid. Just a pin head size safe hold with the edge of my razor knife.

Isabella Leghorns are SUPER pretty! I would love some of those too

But those only come in single comb... so nope, I SHALL RESIST!!!!
