Wow... tons going on today...

Outpost JWB, sorry for the brooder mishap, had the same thing happen to me once and lost several of my best chicks...

Alaskan bathed... and toilet typing... hmmm...

Felix, you are making me miss the hot springs in winter, and way to go on the hemp sales!

Gorgeous birds, Jem... you have a good eye...

Jim says no using tires for planting anything, he knows what they are made of... :/

Isabels are gorgeous, had to resist... if they become rosecomb, I'm a gonner, lol...

Awesome bib saddle, Sam!! Love the hockey theme...

Oh, HATCH BABY, HATCH!!!! To all the little eggies!!!

And I caught my blue egg laying pullet... surprisingly, it is an Araucana!! And it looks like one of my new Araucana bantams just went broody...

with my white leghorns... it turns out that their white is dominant.

It just dawned on me, one reason why they are hatching so slowly could be because I had them without heat for a jillion hours... TWICE.

Makes me feel better....


I have some more pips...  I have two "still alive but not ready to hatch" quail eggs...  annoying

hatch, Hatch, HATCH! I've got an isabel! These aren't supposed to hatch till tomorrow! I so screwed up the hatch day. Oops. 4 browns and 1 isabel now. 2 browns are single comb and 2 are rosecomb.

That dang isabel is a strong one. It literally wasn't piped before I took a shower. I come out and it was trying to crawl out of the egg. It pipped, zipped, and hatched in less than 30 minutes.

no worries lol what makes you think cockerel? most of my hatchlings are purebreed the bamachicks are mixed...I sure am excited to see them get bigger and feather  out more think some are going to look awesome...one of the gold laced looks like it's getting in some great lacings

if it's a blue laced, nothing yet on sex. Typically if a bird starts getting gold or mahogany in the wing bows early on its a cockerel.

Oh, and our very pretty Olive Egger is a friggin' egg eater... caught her in the act today with egg yolk all up in her beard... got her egg today, but not the other pullets eggs... :/

My rosecomb brown I ended up hatching are split to Isabel.
