I really like how the feathering is coming in on the cream legbar chick @bamadude it's like a deep mahogany edged with black almost like lacing....

Darn it, too dark to see the goose still. Or at least it was when I tried a while ago. But that's a pretty interesting place to set up shop.

BC, thanks, now I got a peek. Pretty cool, and pretty high up. I wonder why it has set up shop there, I thought geese usually nested close to shore. But what do I know, I've only seen swan nests up close. We do have nesting geese out at the cottage too, but I've never seen their nests, just the babies with their parents. The ones that nest there are Barnacle geese, later in fall the grey geese appear, about 3000 of them spend the end of summer and early autumn a few miles from our cottage so during hunting season they fly right over the cottage. We don't really have Canada geese by the cottage, but in other places in Finland there are loads of them.
