Do what?
What kind of plastic egg holders?
You dont mean those plastic eggs sold around easter time always bags of them dirt cheap in clearance bins?
Are they new at this?
I have had my share of lousy egg wrappers from ebay sellers. And they had great marks when I was buying. So I graded according to being wrapped and delivery. An that is all and then nothing hatches. Possibly bc of the wrapping of plastic and tape. One seller it took several minutes per egg to unwrap
And still did not hatch. May not have been their fault bc I have had boxes put on the counter dripping in a plastic bag. What gives? I order books from amazon and they ship from Fargo and I order eggs from the next state and they are all smashed and box is crunched and warped.

The seller wants to right the wrong.. just not sure if I'd want her to ship eggs again. My parents don't live far from her and they are coming out to me in a few weeks....

I've actually bubbled wrapped each egg individually and then stuck them in those plastic easter eggs. Then packed around all the plastic eggs so they couldn't move. Eggs actually shipped really awesome that way!
I've had eggs shipped successfully when the box was lined with bubble wrap and then each egg individually wrapped too. Only one egg had cracked as it slipped out of it's wrapping near the bottom of the box.

Wow.

Anymore I bubble wrap each egg and fit them snugly inside of a small box. Then filling any remaining room with crumpled or shredded paper. Then I put that box inside of a great big box and put shredded or crumpled paper tightly around that to keep it from moving. I've had pretty good reports on most boxes shipping that way.

I can verify that! 2 different boxes, not a broke egg in either... unfortunately there is nothing that can help the egg inside the shell if it is shaken too much, courtesy of the PO machine sorter...

Mini, I think the grey drake will be ok... hoping, and thinking positive... I checked him over and no external wounds at all... he was twitchy about his back end/tail area and looked like a few pin feathers were bent against the grain?? Thinking maybe that is what is hurting??

@minihorse927 , Hope you're feeling better today. I didn't sleep well at all. Went to bed at 11pm and I swear I seen the clock on every hour at least once an hour

@Amberjem , those posts that you posted last night or night before are super cute. We bought 4 amberlink pullets this past spring & they are growing to be some of the best natured chickens

. I accidently called them Amberjems a couple times & now that is what my daughter calls them. LOL! You should be proud to have such wonderful chickens named after you.

Hope you all have a great day!

ouch, wonder if plucking them out would help?

Al, with the temps you keep in your house, I assume the power company is paying you? :p

Karin complains that I keep our house too cold too (20C), I keep telling her to turn the heat up if she wants to, but she seems to prefer to just complain.

I think they grew past the bent part, so think I'll leave them for now... and he seems like he's not hurting now, just really didn't like me messing with them... thought at first it could be his drake feather/s coming in but they are just a bit higher than that... poor baby isn't quite finished with his adult feather molt...

He immediately ate and drank and is staying with the other 3 now... no more hiding...
