I lilke the Pharaoh and golden varieties. One of these days my kitchen scale will have a visit in the coop so I can select the larger birds for breeding.

No golden ones in yet, but wonder if I can get them through selective breeding.

From what I've learned, you'll always have to keep an eye on size or they'll start going smaller again. Keep selecting the larger birds as breeders. Is your aim for jumbos?

Yes maam. Same one. Hopefully they took care of it. BYC is pretty good about getting on them.

Which made me sad... Because that was my favorite color.

I've got 1 gold male. I've read that but I've also read that it isn't true. Idk

Ok, time for pics!!! Here is my beautiful and wonderful Black Jersey Giant broody. She is doing an excellent job with her 5 chicks. These pics don't do her or her chicks justice really, but they are awesome. The chicks are all mix breed.



This is a pic of a BR x CCL pullet. She has a fluffy head like the CCL.

In the background is a OE cockrell. His name is what most of our roosters are named. Dinner.
