i haven't stood on it for about 6 months either. But that would be a good chance to finally tag their legs as male and female since I keep forgetting on who is who...

And probably a real good idea to tag the 8 Cayugas too, they all look the same and I figure there are at least 3 boys there.

Going to hang on to all the boys, they might get separated if I see any issues but I don't think the laying flock I am taking on has (m)any drakes.

@seminolewind , My 4 pullets died due to trampling-weakness-and bird brains. Basically they all hover together into a corner that holds water....

They have cover. Plenty of it. Idk what they were thinking. It's been raining so much here. But when I went out to do feeding that morning there were 4 trampled in the corner.

@Alaskan looks like your hen has some sort of foot infection. I had a Golden Polish hen that did the same thing. One spot would disappear and then she would get another one...? She lost 2 of her toenails when this went on. I ended up giving her antibiotics and it seemed to clear up.

Can someone with ducklings take a look at this thread?

Help. Rouen duckling with protruding belly button
Started by ksmith6689

The duckling just hatched yesterday and now is not standing or walking. It was an assist hatch. Which we all know doesn't always work, but I don't have ducklings or any experience with them. Thanks in advance for trying to help!
