Weird, I got a white silkie egg today, the others have been laying brown. The silkies are now outlaying my other hens, wish their eggs were bigger.

my silks laid dark brown to white. It was always a surprise with them!

Beer can, I don't know that silkies were like EEs.... Never know what you will get in regards to egg color. Now there is an idea, a blue egg laying silkie!



So.... I was trying to buy Muscovy eggs...... Person said she would sell me some, she gathered eggs..... I said OK, how many did you get and how much?

3 dozen for $90 including shipping, I said OK, and sent her the money via Paypal.....

She didn't send me a tracking number,... I asked and a bit Later she responded that she had forgotten to mail them on Sat., the eggs would be too old Monday, she would collect again.... So now over a week has past, I asked about the eggs on Saturday... and Sunday, and Monday which is when I finally said I needed my money back, or I needed fresh eggs shipped and a tracking number, today she finally responded....

She said that the ducks hadn't been cooperating.... I said that I understood that animals don't always cooperate... But since this was an internet transaction (just through Paypal, no store front etc.) a week and a half was long enough... I needed my money back, or fresh eggs.

She snottily said that I probably wouldn't be satisfied no matter what she did.... So she would just refund me the money. I said that was splendid.

Either the lady is super naive, or was really trying to rob me...... No one does business that way.

probably had a buyer walk in and buy them she let em because you were so far away... easy to stall .... Yeah right....

not quite sure yet. I'll get even in some way...

Well,the extra quail boys are no more...14 of them sitting in ice water. im.pleased with myself. Never butchered, cleaned, and packaged a bird by myself.

Awesome! I need to hatch out some more quails. I only have 2 boys, I was lucky to only get 2 males with 6 hens after losses into adulthood. So I literally have no spare. Now it feels like I need more, poor hubby, lol!

yeah it is for quail but he'll still flip when he realizes it. He doesn't see it as 104 teeny tiny chicks vs 104 ducklings... big difference.

OK just candled. 90 look fertile. 1 had a blood ring and the rest appear infertile but I left them just in case.
