Crash (grey) is female, and Burn (blue fawn) is male... very certain...


I sooo almost said, 'well of course, they're Calls!', lol...

80% of the eggs I believe we're fertile. I hadn't checked the unhatched eggs yet. They may not be fertile. 69 of them will poop a lot but they will taste good whenI butcher them out!

yep! Much better than 69 ducks! I've already been told to keep working on my tuxedos as one of the biggest quail breeders out there wants some to add diversity to hers.

Fire is scary

As to weather

Yesterday was a scorcher... My youngest -who usually does zero whining- did a little bit of whining yesterday until I gave him the stink eye.. 7 year olds are NOT allowed to whine. Anyway, he was too hot, I think it hit 68. I told him that even though he was old now, he had my permission to pull up his shirt and put his chest on the cold metal bleacher seats. But zero fussing. The bleachers helped to cool him down.
