 ya I get that but sheesh you'd think at least partial harvesting would be allowed.. we can do up to 10 pounds a day here and have to harvest if specifically....and it has to be wet seaweed no dried seaweed...and for commercial purposes more then 10 pounds it's a special license...  y'all usually have such practical harvesting of natural resources for food n such for familys there surprises me they don't allow it at all......

Seaweed harvesting is by beach.. None of the beaches within an hour drive of my house are harvestable.

But yes, in general harvesting here is pretty good, much better though if you are native.

Natives get to harvest seabird eggs, and seals, and wales, etc. I think they also get to harvest fish with fish traps, which are super cool, but illegal for the non-natives.


Back to seaweed... That stuff is like gold. The chickens will eat the bugs off, it is excellent in the garden too.
