Dixie Chicks

Lure that wild hog into a pen, worm, and grain feed it. Tender, and delicious!

Hey Jem, I was up north for a week skiing, just got back yesterday. I checked in on the OFH already, but I was saving this one to read through later.

Bunnies had grown huge while we were gone, and the chicks are growing like crazy too. They're 9 and 13 days old today, and they're already hanging out in the run, it's about 30F outside. We saw them all climb back into the coop today, so no need to worry about them anymore.

That is beautiful vehve. Tell Karin those are awesome pics.

Amberjem, all is well here. Went to the United States Air Force Museum yesterday. It was awesome. Taking vacation days Monday (cat is getting spayed) and Tuesdsay (hubby is getting spinal injections). Hoping all goes well during both procedures.

Baby chicks are growing like weeds, had to separate the SS babies from the rest because of picking. The red feathering is starting on the ss and the other breeds are quick to assume it's blood and pick until they get some......that happened to 2 of them last week. Since separation, they've been fine.

Question for anyone who's had white leghorns: do their combs develop quicker than most breeds? I have 5, and I ordered all pullet chicks, but they all have combs significantly larger than the other breeds.
