really?  all my chicks I've given to a broody have been older not to old... if they are to old they wont bond with her...and they will reject her instead of her rejecting them... it's how my grandma did it ....didnt realize it was unusual

X2 what Mahen said... I thought I was lucky with a broody that takes fresh hatched out of the bator...
