Thanks! Looks like Stella's boyfriend will be the blue then. I'd like the possibility of getting a splash. I may just put them all in the same pen with the Black copper French marans hens too. I need coffee this morning! And my emojis are gone! What?

Heya, deb!

The Squirrelinator works!   I saw ground squirrels hightailing it over the veggie compound fence where they were sampling either the strawberries or the gooseberries at 2:00 p.m.   I unpacked The Squirrelinator, baited it with unshelled peanuts and at 3:30 I had one squirrel and by 5:00 there were two (now former varmints) trapped.   I'll leave it in the compound overnight, but will probably move it to the front of the house where they're bouncing out of the cedar berm and scampering up the pecan trees.   We have a horrible rodent problem, mainly rabbits by population....but the squirrels are the most destructive.

DH is VERY happy the device works as we witnessed a ground squirrel snatch a baby quail the other day and disappear down its den hole with Mama Quail frantically flying after it.  Nasty things!

Thanks for the update! I've been contemplating one, so maybe I'll give it a try. Catch them, then I'd like to pull all their teeth out before I shoot them :D

Isn't it strange that blue to black doesn't give you any splash, but blue to blue does? I always have to refer to the charts. I like this one too, as it includes lavender.

Never knew if my ducks were considered black or splash, one has a pretty good bit of white on her. The ducklings are only 3 weeks old, but already looking much lighter. After looking at that chart again, maybe they will be blue... Hmmmmm
