So sorry!  Was going to ask if it just ended up being the one chicken, but I saw your later reply.
I've caught and dispatched 3 coons recently.  One on Monday, 2 on Tuesday.  But none in the traps on Wed or Thurs.  Did they learn their lesson, when Fred, Bob, and Larry didn't return to the pack??

We set 2 of those dog-safe (and hopefully chicken safe) tube type traps.  I must say, I was impressed!

:thumbsup    Hopefully they will all calm back down soon.

I thought broody season was over, but had one of my choc orps join her sister, late in her sisters brood.  So I gave her some eggs I had in the incubator.  Gave her clears to start, but if she continues, I'll let her hatch come of the chicks.  Good luck!

They go thru spurts here to. We use "hav a heart" traps. I'll check out those others though. Never heard of them. We catch A LOT of ferel cats. After reviewing the flock last night a bit closer, I know I am missing a leghorn pullet, at least 1 RIR, at least 1 austrolorp, and 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte. I know the flock is definitely lighter. Since I'm off work today, I'll be able to get an accurate count.

BROODY HENS! :th. I just had 4 Amberlinks, 1 RIR, 1 Black Jersey Giant go broody. After a week of fighting with the broodzillas, I put them in dog crates for 3 days. The BJG took 5 days to reset. Stubborn.

Grandmas birthday went without a hitch.... 100 years old today.

One Gal came with her Daughters... She looked to be around eighty and her daughters looked to be sixty and seventy.... Come to find out She was 94....All the rest were in their seventies and eighties....

Even Elisabeth the gal that cleans the house came with her Son and Daughter. And the Pizza Guy Joe, who is the owner of our favorite pizza place, came. He delivered the pizzas and stayed about two hours. Hes adopted Grandma as his and is a big softie. He took a bizillian pictures and promised to email them to me.

I couldnt have pulled it off if my son and cousin hadn't helped.

I crashed at about two pm and went to bed leaving Dean to explain and handle cleanup duty. I got up at five and the last two were still here...

soon as I finish destressing I am going back to bed.

Love the pathway pics, Outpost. One can almost smell the greenery.

deb, job well done! Best wishes to Gran. I hope she'll wear her crown long after the festivities.

@deb... I know you are very tired, but I bet it is a good and happy tired. So glad you were able to celebrate a century of life on earth with your grandma. Hugs all 'round.
