Thanks! I'll take note of that.

Had to do bumble foot surgery again today. I'm like a pro at this now! Squirrelly, our Easter egger got it again. :th
Also a leghorn mix rooster got it. We did "exploratory" surgery on him last time....not on purpose, just couldn't find it. Then, poor guy, after he was healed up, I did surgery again. Good news, FOUND IT:sick:sick. Boy oh boy did we find it. I kept thinking there can't be anymore, oh, but there was. I hope we got it all. They are both sharing a nice comfy crate for about a week. Praying I got it all.

@perchie.girl will do! Have a nice, peaceful week:D.

I'm going to enjoy some blackberries we picked. They are going to become a big pan of BLACKBERRY COBBLER:drool

dang that sounds good!

Our raspberries are getting close... but are not yet ripe! I can taste them already and I WANT! (yeah, no patience here -shrug-)

So I hate to ask .....but what the heck is cobbler ? hear it mentioned in other places , yet have never seen or tasted it ? whats it compared to ?

Blackberry cobbler is my absolute favorite! :ya Peach is a close second. Scoop of vanilla ice cream on top is just heavenly.

Its kinda like a hot fruit-filled buttery yummy almost cake, but between cake and bread. I guess. Hard to describe really. But I have a super easy recipe.

1 stick butter
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 Tsp baking powder
1/4 Tsp salt
2 cups fruit

Melt butter in 2-quart baking dish. In separate bowl, combine dry ingredients, then stir in milk. Pour this mixture into the butter, but do not stir. Drop pieces of fruit into it. Again, do NOT stir. Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes. Do not overbake, will appear doughy in center. Eat warm!

Edit - I forgot the sugar! Ugh! Lol

We don't use salt or baking powder in ours, and add more sugar to the top. And we bake at 350degrees for one hour. Otherwise that recipe is spot on!

I love blackberry cobbler, and peach cobbler!
