Dixie Chicks

An order of nothing but Roos of different ages this Spring is what she calls making it up to
Me for last fall's order of $200.(dead and dying chicks) with this Springs order of $350.(all Roos). I don't know where the money will come from now. I may be on a diet to save money for an order but it will Have to be Daniel at Carolina Rare Chicks out of SC bc no way will I ever order from Conn again!

I will have to switch over to the big Breeder houses. No more Wnglish Orpingtons for Me. What I have left I have. Unfortunately I sold so
Many so I could get the money together with what was left over of my retirement check. Maybe before fall so can scrape together enough to order something from Murray McMurray?

She killed my hobby! Every year I buy chicks to add to my flocks and sell off the one year old breeders. She killed my hobby. Last year when I got the dead and dying Chicks in the $200. Order Sept/Oct time period she said she would make it up To me this Spring. This year she hit me up for $350. She killed my hobby. I operate on NO margin. I live off my Retirement Social Security Checks.

omg that's horrible! :hugs

i have English chocolate Orpingtons if you want some eggs. Do you incubate? I'd donate them to you for shipping cost only.

That is a very kind offer. I have a few English Orps That I had not sold off yet and will not be selling at this point. I appreciate your kind and generous offer but must decline. I have tried eggs before and the Post Office always delivers abused boxes of eggs that never hatch. My English Orpingtons that I have left that were not sold yet, I am holding on to and adding a couple roos out of the 6 Roos she sent. Will be giving away 4 of the roos with the most orange legs this Saturday.

A lady whom is NPIP is a 4 hour drive from me will Have Chocolate Juvenile pairs for $30. A pair, later on during the summer and I will go Pickup hers. I would like to do the same with you if your willing to hatch yours. I could come for Chicks. Do you have Ancona Ducks
And Chocolate Orpingtons both? How much Will You be selling? If your NPIP I will not have a problem
W/travel. And I can break this all down over the next three months so I am not floored as I don't have it in my budget and must travel with others as my 1994 Truck will
Not make it. Especially since something got up inside and chewed on my lines.

Your offer was very kind but I would like to Pay my way. If you have NPIP chicks that I could take across state lines, I could come buy. I would appreciate that very much. Thank you.

Well now I have another hen gone broody and egg production has dropped again. I do have a few chicks left unsold right now, but a customer saying they want them. I'm also considering selling my entire chocolate flock, but I think this customer only wants the young pullets and babies. I may save a few babies anyway. Where are you located? I'm in north-western West Virginia, close to the Ohio border.

Sorry Apiaryandaviary

Anyone got experience with ducks laying soft shelled eggs? Or perhaps internal laying? I could use some advice.

Sorry hen, I'm no help there. @casportpony @Ravynscroft
