Set 20 Brahma eggs, one infert, one cull due to broken yolk and external intestines, 18 chicks.
Set 4 CCL hatched 4 girls! Finally a turn for the better!
Set 4 White faced have 3 chicks, one early death.
All hatched within 12 hours!
That is a first EVER! usually the white faced go a day early! I am not complaining!
Chicks head to Florida in the morning! except white faced, we need to grow out a rooster or two to replace existing.

I have eggs in lock down as of last night. I awoke to a coral blue guinea keet this morning and 2 pipped eggs from shipped eggs. I had to leave as a fellow wanted his horse buried and when I got back there was another keet hatched and still 2 pipped eggs. I have to wait until it is dry but I suspect that it may be a chocolate guinea keet. Today is day 26 and as usual there are early keets.

Have a wonderful Memorial day everyone and please everyone stay safe.

I was able to work on the wine fridge incubator today. I got the incukit installed (more or less) and started to work on the baffle in the rear that will send air from the top down to the bottom and got the start on in stalling the computer fan on that. I really wish I was more savvy at building things...I feel so handicapped. I will keep on persevering though...until it is done!

Ordered a STC-100 yesterday, also a 100w heat element and a 110v fan.

Total cost $38.

This is to rebuild a refridgabator that I built a couple years ago, replacing the wafer thermostats, heat lamps and fan.

The dehumidifiers been running non stop and no water in the cabinet at all during incubation. frustrated this morning :(
Chicks are gonna have to go to auction that are hatching late and big :( argggg

Why must you auction those chicks?

I've seen dehumidifying "buckets" of some sort of salt (I suppose) that absorbs the water and it drips into the bottom of the bucket.

Not sure where that would go in the incubator, but it's the only idea I've got for ya.

I may end up bringing the cabinet upstairs until I see the humidity lower down there. I need to take the front of the dehumidifier as well and see that its not freezing up or anything. I didnt think the new kinds froze, but I could be wrong so its worth popping off a few screws to look at it. I dont think I am emptying as many buckets as usual either. so its on my to do list later.
