DIY recipe for Ducks and Chickens?

So I am really looking into making my own feed for my (2) ducks and (4) chickens. I know everyone's opinion is a little different than others but what are some good recipes for my babes? Is it possible to make food for them 100% without any kind of feed from the stores?(I do know I need to add grit)
Also, what is the process for growing my own mealworms? Is that something I could also easily do?
Sorry for all the ?s, I just like knowing everything that's going into my babies food ! (I'm the same way with my kids, drives my fiance crazy sometimes lol)

Mealworms are very easy to grow, typically just a large plastic container with plain uncooked oatmeal and potatoes (Skin intact touching the oats to prevent mold) with a lid and a few hole for oxygen is all you really need.

Growing your own feed is not economical to tell you the truth. I go to feed mills to get my own feed direct from the source.

It really is... You just have to do your homework and decide what feed is best for your animals and your situation.
