DIY Thread - Let's see your "Inventions".

It IS Dear Husband. But in one thread it confused someone because she thought it meant "Dumb Husband" and was upset because people were using it.

I love the ideas for covering my run with clothes line. I think that will be my weekend project. So far we haven't had predator problems, but I have 3 ladies who won't stay in the run. It's not that I mind them roaming. I just can't shake the fact that they should be laying, but aren't. Or are they and I just haven't found the nest??? See? I need to cover my run!

No laying is also a result of molt or the onset of winter....

The Cooper & Sharp shinned Hawks may come in from far & wide to practice their high speed, close quarter, flight maneuvers.

We got 25 CX meaties in the brooder as of Friday...didn't have a coop! So "DH" (lol) started on a meat bird coop. :)
We free range but lock them up at night as the predators here are thick!

The bare grass there is where we dug out a small trench to tun electric to the coops. Lol hopefully it'll grow back someday, doesn't seem to want to grow in there.

I'm glad you're posting that. I just asked the question elsewhere...but I was asking about ideas for meat birds for the spring. Something EASY to throw together or repurpose something else. Mainly somwhere to be locked in at night and they could run during the day. Will be using it next spring.
