DNA sexing ducklings?

I have 9 beautiful ducklings (8 Pekins and a khaki Campbell) that just hatched this week! I vent checked them today (all around 1 to 3 days old) and it gave me 9 females, which lets face it is most likely wrong. I would rather be too gentle than too harsh while vent sexing them, so I probably have not pushed enough to reveal the possible little guys in the group.

Here's my question now, has someone ever had a dna sexing test made on their ducklings? I know this seems intense but I do not want a drake in my flock and one of my duckling is just the sweetest little guy and I need to know if i'll be able to keep her/him.

I'm also curious if people have notice any male trait or female trait in the duckling personalities or habits that would help sexing them? I'm not used to ducklings, but I have found that with chicks their personalities can help sexing them.

I purchased a DNA test for a couple of my chickens, but ended up not needing it as Dandelion laid an egg.

Can I ask why you don't want a drake? No judgment. Just curious. I didn't want a drake because my ducks are housed with my chickens. But I would love to have one someday. They are so beautiful!

I have also purchased one for my silkie last year but I'm curious if people have done it for ducks!

They do are very beautiful! I will also be housing them with my chickens so it's the main reason why. I have read that drakes are very intense once sexually active and I don't want them to cause any arm to my hens. I also had very bad experiences with roosters harassing my girls and being a pain in my butt daily so that is also why I'm hoping for this duckling to be female. But I'll be honest if that little one is a male I might keep him.

DNA sexing works for all birds. Might be a bit expensive to do 9 tests, though.

In the past I've used HealthGene it's 17$ and I get the result pretty quickly!
