Hens usually make noise after they lay and move away from the egg, it is their way of drawing predators away from the egg they just laid. I only have one noisy girl and she is a buff cochin, she actually sings the egg song whenever another girl is in the nesting box. She will walk to the box and stop singing and check on her, then she starts up again. When this first happened, I thought something got in the coop and they were being tortured, now I know....
