Do all of them do it?

not sure why all roosters crow, but my little oegb crows whenever I whistle at him or if he hears someone outside and does not see them. Think it is a roos way of communicating .

Couldn't tell you why they make that exact series of noises, but it must be instictual.
 
well i live i n a small neiborhood and my neibors probally wouldnt like us if my roo was wakin them up every mornin
 
With my limited experience I'm gonna tackle this one.

Most roosters will crow. Some crow a lot more than others. Some
breeds are bigger crowers. If you have multiple roosters they will
crow according to their pecking order.

Why do they crow? I would say it's a territorial thing and a way to keep
the flock together and in line.

Don't know where you live, but isn't it cold enough that you have plastic covering the windows?
