Do button quails and normal (Japanese) quails get along in the same aviary?

With enough space they can. Be careful because there can be some accidents and sometimes Japanese can hurt kings but it’s not impossible for them to be housed together.

True. There can be some quails who are just plain nasty!

I am currently keeping some together in my large coop and they tend to ignore each other and get along okay, but I can't say for other quails. The number of each species and size of the enclosure a huge factors. I wouldn't recommend it (I do it because I have limited space right now), but if you did it anyway, I would advise giving the quails plenty of hiding places.

You are so lucky. Most of my coturnix are not so sweet. I'd be afraid to put anything in with them that isn't their size or bigger.

mine are in a large aviary....i had to move them out with the coturnix and larger birds because the parakeets were hurting and killing them.
