Do chickens ever lay their eggs around 6:30 PM in winter?

is there any way to chage the time they lay? i got 2 from a friend and they were already afternoon layers. Is it too late for them to change?

In Az it is HOT....the afternoons are hottest time of day, and if I'm not home they just lay there in the triple digits

My RIR have been laying around 6:30 to 7:30 pm now.In summer they are early girls

Oh...wow! I always assumed that chickens laid their eggs in the morning-afternoon time. I guess I was wrong...my own chicken wronged me!
