do chickens get upset when you clean their coop?

OMG I "poop scoop" the litter every morning with a cat litter scooper with a dowel taped to the end of it. Then I clean off the roosts and poop board, the whole time they act like I'm trying to kill them. My BR Rose follows the scoop around and attacks it every chance she gets. It doesn't help at all. Yesterday I leaned the scoop against the wall while I adjusted something and the scoop slowly fell over and the handle landed on her back, she ran away hauling my scoop behind her. It didn't hurt her as it is really light but now she really hates it.

My two Speckled Sussex are always on hand to give me their opinions about how to clean the coop, but they have to give their opinions about EVERYTHING. The others, 2 EEs & 2 SLWs will watch from a distance but won't come near the coop. Once it's clean, they are fine with it.

If I dont do it right,I will get tossed out"Suitcase" style.

I once caused a "chicken tornado" by merely sprinkling some fresh shavings in the coop (as if they'd never seen that before). They were flying around bouncing off the walls and my head while complaining loudly. Up until then I had no idea large fowl were so aerodynamic......
