I was thinking about raising worms and maybe crickets to help lower my feed cost. What do you think?

I dont think it will lower your feed cost but it would provide them a treat that they absolutely love....worms especially.

I have a worm farm and chickens. If you are looking to decrease your feed bill, this isn't the way. They are good foer treats. They don't reproduce fast enough to decrease your feed bill.

Agreed..

Also it is my practice to not feed the worms chicken poo and then feed the worms to the chickens. Remember parasitic Gape is a risk with feeding red/earth worms to the birds. So I only feed my worm bins with kitchen scraps.

Lets just say between the chickens and worms the poor old compost pile hardly gets any goodies any more... (Of course the chicken poo goes in the compost pile...
