Crowing
Out of the four cockerels I have Monster doesn’t bother with us humans. I think he’d rather avoid us. I wish he was a little more gentle with my pullets. He’s so big he can only mate with the large or standard ones. He has found a favorite pullet who he chases around the yard. She takes refuge with Fuzzy, my EE cockerel.
Fuzzy is the only one that is a jerk to humans. But not to the point where he has become a problem. He stalks and dances but otherwise has learned who is boss.
I have a bantam Cochin frizzle, Lil Chi, who is great to look at. But he is a jerk to all the other chickens. He thinks he owns all the pullets. My husband says he has little cock syndrome.
He tries really hard to stop all the other cockerels from mating with anyone and he isn’t even top cockerel. He will try to challenge Fuzzy, the top cockerel, but Fuzzy just dodges out of his way. I’m thinking I won’t be able to free range them together soon if Lil Chi keeps up his crap.
So compared to Fuzzy and Lil Chi, Monster is great. He acts like a horny teenager chasing the girls around.
