Do head spots on GCM always mean male?

So he is a Golden Cuckoo? And if I wanted to breed them (which I most likely won't) he is the proper colour, except for the legs?
Sorry, just trying to make sense of it all.

He does look closer to golden cuckoo than the other cockerel, but it’s hard to tell at this age.

But hang on, I just thought of something.
The paler one was yellow as a chick, while the others were black (except for the head spot) So that would mean that they were sex linked, but I don't think they are.
I'm getting myself really confused!!

I believe they can vary a lot in color as chicks, so they weren’t sex-linked, just happened to look different.
