Ok so I have had my roosters inside for 3 days and putting medicine on them but the frostbite seems to be permanent and I don’t have dubbing equipment because I raise for eggs and chicks. I will take some pictures but for now I want to know what to do I have been putting petroleum jelly on them and it’s 71 in my house so I’m wondering what to do

Definitely do not cut off. I haven’t had first hand experience, but have seen others saying not to cut it off. It will either fall off on its own or potentially heal if it’s not too badly damaged. The black tips will probably fall off.

I have also heard not to use Vaseline as it can freeze. I tried Bag Balm last year and I think that helped a little, but one of my girls had a little burn.

Others have said mushers secret (for pup paws).

Also make sure he doesn’t get too warm too fast.

im sorry this is happening. This weather is brutal! Best of luck! Keep us posted :)
