my girls (and Im gonna call them girls since we paid for pullets and karma) are fluffing up their neck feathers, standing on tip toes and straightening their necks- is this pecking order stuff? Or am I raising 20 non eggers here?
The chicks (btw when do they stop being chicks and become pullets/cockerlls etc) are about 8.5 weeks
When would I notice obvious sex traits showing? my Fuzz (a batam ball of feathers) has small red 'waddles' on the sides of her face... (will try and get a pic)

man, raising chicks is hard.... the cat was much easier.

Hi, If you can post some pics. it will be much easier to say.

Pullets fight, so this behaviour odes not necessarily mean anything.

Pullet just refers to a hen under a year, so I guess the girls are pullets from hatching,
