4 month old Americauna. All other chickens in the pics are the same age.

This one has been noticeably bigger than the others for at least a month.

I’m not sure why, but this weekend the feathers finally dawned on me. No spurs or crowing, though.

Are Americauna roosters generally nice?

They do look like saddle feathers to me but could be wrong, very handsome though! Ameraucana are known to be pretty docile (i have 4 blue splash ameraucana in my flock and theyre all very laid back) but time will tell once his hormones hit on how he treats you and and the hens. Good luck!
 
He is a blue wheaten Ameraucana cockerel. As far as niceness goes, individual personality is more important than breed in determining behavior. That said, I have not heard of any aggressive Ameraucana roosters. If he's well behaved now chances are he will remain that way, but really it is a wait and see kind of thing.
