Do I have cause for concern? Gender of blue marans

Several of my blue marans are already developing little combs, even at two weeks old. I've heard combs develop early on both sexes for marans, but I'm still a bit worried--we can't keep roosters here, and of course it's my favorite chick showing the most comb. I've noticed a lot of color variation, but I'm guessing that doesn't mean anything gender wise...but does anyone know for sure?

If you look at the bigger size of this picture, you can see a bit of his/her comb.

Same chick. This is the lightest of the bunch.

And, for the color variation, here's my darkest chick (complete with green food coloring mark)

the blue color comes in many shades and nothing to do with gender. give them a few more weeks and you will be able to tell as the roos will get alot bigger than the pullets. I have 5 sail boats walking around the brooder and two that are pullets in this very breed.
