(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Although I had chickens when I was a child, my first chickens arrived on Easter 2014.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Three chickens (hopefully not roosters).

(3) What breeds do you have? I was told they were Arucana henss, but guessing they are Easter Eggers

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Google searches.

(5) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married for 20 years with a son and two daughters, ages 16, 14, and 10. We have two indoor cats, one outdoor cat, fish, and a turtle.

Do these look like Easter Eggers? This was taken last week when they were about four weeks old. This week they are looking more like brown Eagles. Haha! I have been reading all the posts about how to determine if they are roos, and we are so worried that we might have one or more. Our city ordinance does not allow Roosters, and we have fallen in love with these cuties. The one on the left is getting a noticeable comb with the three rows, and very pretty feathers. The one on the left dominates the other two as well - jumps on their heads, chases them, and pushes them.

From what I am reading, we just have to wait. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Welcome to BYC!

I have to agree with Iwiw, it is possible the one on the left is a roo! BUT...you can't judge them at this age quite yet. When they age a couple more weeks, you might post another pic in our What Breed and Gender section here on BYC for some good Breed and Gender ID...

Enjoy your adorable babies and welcome to our flock!

Thank you. I'll try to be patient, and hope for the best. I guess waiting and wondering is part of the fun. Just curious, did you think the one on the left was a roo based on my description or by the way she/he looks?

Yeah you probably will have to wait, but do any of them have there feathers coming in faster than the others? Also look for the comb reddening. You are so lucky! I really want Easter Eggers!
(Ps. Welcome!)

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with your chicks! While it isn't for sure at this age, with breeds that have peacombs like most EEs do, when you can see three rows of points on the comb in a young chick you start thinking cockerel.
