Hi guys, this is my first time hatching eggs i have 3 ducks two females and one drake. One of the females has been laying on her eggs for about 18 days now there is visible progress withing the eggs so i know that they are alive. But i was wondering after the ducklings hatch will i need to separate the ducklings from the drake? will the drake harm or kill the ducklings in any way? Any feedback would be great thank you.

If they're free range I would not worry. Penned is a different matter; watch them closely and intercede should you need to.Any feedback would be great thank you.

They are pekin ducks and i am not sure if they would be considered free range or not i guess they are they are allowed to roam the yard and have access to there coop,

May I ask how old your Pekins are? I rarely, actually never, hear about this breed being broody. This is exciting!

I would say that they are about 2 years old. I also heard that they arent usually broody but we kinda just left the eggs in there sometimes(probably not the best idea) and one day she just started sitting on them and now she rarley comes out and just sits on her eggs
