He's a good boy, just can't seem to get those nails of his smooth enough so he doesn't cut the girls and wear off their feathers.

I have 4 kids (2 under the age of 3), and I would hate for my kids to not even be able to enjoy seeing the chickens (or playing outside, for that matter) for fear of the rooster attacking them.

If you have small children, I strongly recommend not getting a roo until the youngest is 7-8 years old. Roosters who become aggressive to humans, will START with children first. Serious injury can occur, plus it can ruin your childrens interest in chickens for life.
