They are in the garage an it gets about 45-50 degrees F at night and 65-75 during day
Do i need to keep my chicks heat lamp on all the time?

and Welcome To BYC! Depends on how old the chick are. Chicks should be at 95* the first week and you can drop it 5* a week as they get older. So depending on how old they are, you should eventually be able to turn it off during the day at first (now if they are 3-4 weeks) and then eventually during the night. Yes, it depends on how old they are. Kelsie has you straight on the temps...95 degrees for the first week, lowered by 5 degrees each week for 6 weeks.
